Strategic Five-Year Plan Under the WIA

The District of Columbia implemented the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 on July 1, 2000. This Act makes some major changes in the delivery of employment and training services. Each State is required to submit a plan outlining how it plans to make such changes in order to be in compliance with the legislation.

The District of Columbia's WIA Strategic Five-Year Plan is now available for public review and may be downloaded from this page.

Please fax comments, questions, and requested changes to (202) 724-7776.
